5 Diet Tips for Ulcerative Colitis

3. Make sure you pick lean meats.

In addition to stews, soups, and vegetable broths, these are also healthy options that do not trigger UC flare-ups.

5. Have smaller portions during meals.

One of the best ways to maintain a healthy diet is to control the portion size during meals. As opposed to eating a full-sized breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you should opt to eat five to six smaller meals throughout the day. Moreover, you should limit your portions in every meal as well. Another thing you should do is to chew slowly and to take smaller bites. If you do all these things then you will be able to reduce pressure on your digestive system.
